Kei aku nui, kei aku rangatira, kei aku ara tōtara tiketike.  He tika te kōrero, “e kore au e ngawhere he tōtara tū wao mā te toki e tua.”  E kore e ārikarika te mihi ki a koutou katoa i manaaki mai i mātau me tēnei kaupapa a tātau, arā ko ‘Māhuri Tōtara.’  Nā koutou taku māhuri tōtara i whai pakiaka kaurapa ai, i whai tīwai ai, i whai kāuru ai, kia tū hei tōtara rangatira ki te wao tapu nui a Tāne.  Tēna koutou katoa.

The countdown is on for Māhuri Tōtara, 12 days to be exact.  Karl Strother and Marley Matamua have been out in the Takiwā working with our kaimahi to help them better understand the process that we are about to embark on.  We are confident that all those directly involved are well prepared to meet with the NZQA panel and speak to their respective areas.

A highlight of going out and speaking to our tauira has been listening to their stories.  The passion they express for the particular programme they are currently or have previously been engaged with and the transformation it has/is making not only on them but within their whānau is truly inspiring.  This demonstrating a true reflection of our Whakakitenga/Vision;

He takapau mātauranga, he whānau huarewa

Whānau transformation through education.

The agenda is for your information.  If you work at any of the selected sites in the Takiwā, there will be a pōwhiri/whakatau at 8.30am. Please support the kaupapa and help to welcome our manuwhiri and showing expression to our Kaupapa Matua.

Tātari Kounga and the rest of Taumatua would like to express their gratitude to all those out in the Takiwā and at Te Puna Mātauranga for all your support to help us to get prepared for this review.
If you have any queries regarding this process, please feel free to contact Marley Matamua by emailing marley.matamua@twoa.ac.nz or calling 022 658 4344.
